May 2 – May 28, 2025 | Newbury Park, CA
|Group Art Exhibit|
Andrea Yomtob’s painting, Sacred Forest, was juried into this wonderful group exhibit and will be on display in Thousand Oaks Community Gallery alongside a diverse collection of 153 artworks created by 94 artists. The exhibit features new works by artists north and south of the Conejo Valley. Artistic mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, graphics, mixed media, photo/digital art, and 3D sculptures. Many of the artworks are available for sale.
Andrea’s painting, Sacred Forest, was inspired by the tall trees seen in California’s Redwood National Park. This painting was completed using an oil and wax technique, using a thick paste, multiple layers, and scratching through to reveal the rich colors beneath.
Selected from hundreds of local, national, and international artists. Artists were juried in by professional artist, Jennifer Moses. The subject and mediums she selected for this show were widely open.
A little bit about the judge: Jennifer Moses explored many art mediums, including fine art photography, ceramics, and various aspects of design before settling into painting as her focused medium. She is a signature member of the California Art Club and American Tonalist Society and lives in Ojai, California. www.jennifermoses.com.
