Omar and Andrea have been painting together for 25 years in Camarillo, CA at Omar’s studio. Both artists use the same painting technique that incorporates oil and wax on canvas. Each layer of paint is scratched through to reveal the color beneath, creating a style very reminiscent of Impressionism. The technique was developed by Omar d’León and later taught to his pupil, Andrea Yomtob.

Neo – Magical Realism is chiefly a Latin American narrative strategy that is characterized by the matter-of-fact inclusion of fantastic or mythical elements into seemingly realistic fiction. Omar and Andrea use vibrantly rich, bold colors in their work.
